SVM Classifier : Training data

hi.i just want to asking about my fyp.i need to build the svm classifier and glcm feature extraction is used as input..there will be training data and test data. so, for training data, did we used the feature extraction from reference image or the feature extraction from image that we crop(manual segmentation) and obtain feature extraction? or anyone can give me a guide to build svm classifier.
