Parallel optimization on a gpu??

I am trying to find multiple solutions/a solution to an optimization problem and it runs very slow. It is parallelizable, but eats up a lot of memory. Can I use a gpu for this? Im confused about the supported functions. The docs say the parallel computing toolbox is supported, so does that mean the optimizer (global search/multi start) is also supported? Local optimizers are not listed as supported.
