dual arm robot using robotics toolbox+matlab

I have trouble in connecting the two arms, can you please help me with this. I recently saw a paper " dual arm robot control based on navigation function with prescribed performance guarantees" in which they connected two arms using DH parameters mentioned in that paper. Please help me what command to use to connect two arms and how?. I am looking forward to hear from you. Thank you in advance.
