Generating a Plot for a logarithmic function

I'm very new to MATLAB and programming in general so this may be a trivial question but please feel free to help.
For my homework assignment I was asked to generate a plot of the logarithm (base 10) of the error as a function of the logarithm (base 10) of the value of h over a range of values for h including 10^(-20) and 10^(-1). Now I know how to plot the logarithmic function for different values of h, but it seems as though the question is asking for the plot of the error.
If you could please elaborate on what the question is asking and explain the required steps it would be greatly appreciated.

The error between what and what? And how does the error vary with h ?
