how to add two signals for QPSK modulation?

I have two signals with data type as double: sig_ch_i and sig_ch_q. I want to modulate these two signals at the same time with QPSK modulator. using following function how can i do that; H = comm.QPSKModulator(Name1,Value1,.....,NameN,ValueN)
