using slice command on a cube matrix

I have a 29x21x44 double matrix (it's a cube) that I need to make into a 3D plot by using 'slice'. I am unsure how to do this since I don't have any x,y or z coordinates.

Just use x = 1:29, y = 1:21, z = 1:44 if you don't care what the x, y and z values are - these will give you the indices into the cube as axes.

Yes, that would be your 'V' value.
I have only used slice occasionally and I usually base it on the example in
doc slice
for how best to plot it and then work from there, depending on which slices and how many I actually want.
Generally I will want to hook up sliders to the different dimensions rather than have a static view of slices.
