How can i know, whether CascadeObjectDetector performs contrast normalization using HOG features?

In the paper by Dalal and Triggs 'Histograms of Oriented Gradients for Human Detection', they incorporated contrast normalization scheme. Does this trend is followed by CascadeObjectDetetctor while using HOG features?
