How to use Simulink.B​lockDiagra​m.saveActi​veConfigSe​t() for Configuration References

I want to get the details of each configuration parameters. But I am not able use the function Simulink.BlockDiagram.saveActiveConfigSet() on a model which has referred configuration settings. Please help me.
