What is the fastest preconditioner for GMRES? Is there a *PBX* preconditioner implemented by matlab?

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to solve Ax=b where A is large (1m*1m ) sparse non-symmetric matrix. GMres function seems fine for me. But I need a efficient preconditioner. ILU is too slow and takes too much time.
My tutor told me that perhaps PBX will be an alternative. Is there a PBX preconditioner within matlab?
