readXYZ function is not found

I use the Mac Version of R2015b. the readXYZ function for pointclouds ends with the message: undefined variable or function not found 'readXYZ'. I searched the whole matlab directory for "readXYZ" but only found the example file, stating that you can use this function. I reinstalled the toolbox, afterwards matlab completely. both times no luck. Now I installed the preversion of R2016a with the 1.2 version of the robotics toolbox: error occures here too.

readXYZ is a method in ros/+robotics/+ros/+msg/+sensor_msgs/PointCloud2.m so you cannot "which" it.
