Hi everyone,
I want to write an object oriented program for my master thesis. But, before coding the program in Matlab, I will model it. Thereby I would avoid rewriting the program several times in Matlab. There are some Modelling languages such as UML and SysMl. However they aren't cost free and you have to spend enough time to learn them. Unfortunately I don't have both of them (money, time). One of my friends has suggested me to model the content of program through Matalb-Simulink. What is your Suggestion? I would be grateful,if you help me about it.
Best Regards

"Modeling" is vague. Are you thinking of SimEvents? SimElectronics? SimMechanics

Dear Walter,it is the first time that I hear about SimEvent, SimElectronics, SimMechanics. But, after reading some context about them, I'm sure that I wouldn't use them. Actually I want to write the algorithm of program (like Flowchart) before coding its content. I know that the MS-Officce Visio offers some Flowcharts, but they don't involve in a multi layer (in accordance with an objected oriented programming) representation of program before writing its code in Matlab.

Hi Mahdi,
This link talks about Hybrid Software Development with Simulink and UML Tools. This video might be helpful in learning more about Simulink and UML.
However, if this does not answer your question then can you elaborate on the objectives you wish to achieve through your program?
