Mapping NCEP reanalysis data

Hi all,

I'm trying to use the mapping toolbox to visualize NCEP/NCAR R1 data using the pcolorm function in the mapping toolbox. When I use the lat, long and field provided by the NetCDF file, the data is displayed with significant spatially distortion. Does anyone have code they use for mapping reanalysis data or similar data using the mapping toolbox? Thanks for the help, Peter
