What is an alternatice to the Estimate geometric transform function for older versions of matlab?

I am working with a 2012 version of matlab that does not support the detectSURFFeatures function. Is there any alternatives?

This 'detectSURFFeatures' function in Computer Vision Toolbox is introduced in R2011b. Please check if this toolbox is available. After a quick search, I did not find any built-in MATLAB function could do a similar thing.

You should be able to user vision.GeometricTransformEstimator instead.
