after inserting a point on the edge of a triangle,how to generate new triangles

I drew a cubic which was imported into matlabt.Than,I got p(the coordinate of all the vertexes or points),tnorm(all the face normals) and t(all the triangles contains the indexes of the composed points of each triangle).And now I inserting a point on each edge of the triangles,how to generate new triangles.
