How can I get rid of the line that connects end points in a 3D plot (plot3 function)

Dear all,
I'm using plot3(x,y,z) to plot a 3D dataset. The plot is fine except a line that connects the end/starting points between the plots (see attached .bmp). Is it possible to delete that line? Are there any alternatives? Thank you!

You should be using a grid of data with one column of z for each distinct line that you want plotted. The result would give you one graphic line object per line and you would be able to customize them individually including giving them distinct legend entries.
Alternately, you can insert NaN in the coordinate series at each location that you want there to be a visible break in the line. If you use this route then you will not be able to customize the visible lines individually: they will all need to have the same appearance.
