How to work with certain excel sheets?

So I have an excel file with over 20 excel sheets, is there a way I can use matlab to target a certain sheet so that there wont be a difficult syntax to code.

For example I have a file with sheets labeled 1 - 20, and I want to read in sheet4, how would I use xlsread to readin in sheet4 and not sheet1?

Here you go. Specify which sheet by replacing sheet with the sheet name. Read the help doc for more info.

    num = xlsread(filename,sheet)
