Errors in Simscape battery Onramp task 1
古いコメントを表示
Hello everyone, i wanted to start Simscape Battery Onramp but an error appears when i run the model for the first task, which is simply pluggin in "BatteryPack_ChargeLevel" to a scope. (The architecture was already complete for the first task)

The error is the following: Error:Multiple compilation errors detected while compiling SimscapeBatteryOnramp.
Caused by:
['SimscapeBatteryOnramp/NewPack/ModuleAssembly2/NewModule']: Invalid parameter type set at socCell. Expected type ({logical, real, integer, index},~). Got type string.
The Evaluate attribute of mask parameter 'socCell' does not match the expected value. Run sscbuild if you have made changes to Simscape file or if you are upgrading to a new version.

I cannot edit any Mask for this model since it's blocked for the first part of the course.

Answer from AI:
If you are running the course inside a local installation of MATLAB, there might be a version mismatch or toolbox dependency conflict (such as using an older version of Simscape Battery with a newer Onramp course version).
Try opening the course via MATLAB Online in your browser instead. MATLAB Online always uses the exact environment version expected by the Onramp courses, which universally prevents local compilation conflicts.
Suggestions to solve a problem with your local installation:
The error you are seeing happens because Simulink is interpreting a variable or expression passed to the socCell mask parameter as a literal string text (e.g., 'socCell') instead of evaluating it into its numerical, integer, or logical value from the workspace. Because the course locks the subsystem masks for this first task, you cannot manually modify the parameter settings directly.
Here are the most effective ways to resolve this and clear the block:
1. Re-run sscbuild in the Command Window
The error message explicitly points to a potential mismatch or corrupt build artifact. You can force Simscape to rebuild its custom component libraries:
- Go to your MATLAB Command Window.
- Type sscbuild and hit Enter.
- Once the build process finishes, try running your Simulink model again.
2. Reset the Workspace Variables
If the variable socCell was accidentally defined or overwritten as a string in your MATLAB base workspace (for example, by a stray command or script variation), the model will pass that string directly into the block.
- Look at your Workspace window in MATLAB.
- If you see a variable named socCell or similar, check its class. If it says string or char, that is the issue.
- Clear the workspace by typing clear or clearvars in the Command Window.
- Go back to the Onramp course panel and click the Reset Task or Reset Section button. This will force the course to reload the correct architecture, variables, and parameters into your workspace cleanly.
3. Clear the Simscape Cache
Sometimes cached compilation files get corrupted between different versions of the Onramp tool or MATLAB.
- Run the command simscape.compiler.sli.clearCache in the MATLAB Command Window.
- Restart the current course task.
