Flash Firmware to an Infineon Cortex M33 Target Board

Hey everybody,
We have a target board from Infineon that contains an ARM Cortex-M33 processor (PSOC Control C3), and we want to generate and deploy firmware using Model-Based Design and a toolchain. The board includes a dedicated microcontroller that uses KitProg3 to flash the firmware.
Now, we want to build our own toolchain, so that we can generate and deploy code from a Simulink model directly to the target board without using Infineon’s Modus Toolbox.
Where should we start? Which protocol do we need to implement? I haven't found any useful resources to get me started.
