The installer uses digital signatures to detect any accidental or malicious file corruption. Before using the product files that it downloads, the installer verifies the digital signature of each file. If any file has been accidentally or maliciously modified, it will be different from what MathWorks released, and the installer will error out with this message “The downloaded product files are corrupted and cannot be used. Try rerunning the installer to download new product files.”.
If you have any anti-virus or security software active on your computer, as a first step in troubleshooting, try temporarily disabling before trying the installation again.
If the problem persists, an alternative approach is to carry out an offline installation. This method requires you to download the necessary installation files on a different computer without such security constraints, and then transfer those files to your computer.
