Could you confirm that you want to program this in MATLAB, and not in Simulink ? Simulink is designed for this kind of work.

This is easier if you use the Sim Powersystems add-on product:

You would use an AC Voltage Source such as https://www.mathworks.com/help/sps/powersys/ref/acvoltagesource.html and you would use a Series RLC Branch, https://www.mathworks.com/help/sps/powersys/ref/seriesrlcbranch.html
