Creating a custom plot layout with data from multiple sources

I have a rough idea in my mind how to create this but I was wondering how to put it in practice?

As mentioned before, it's not clear what exactly it is, that you want to do. Please give additional information and specify in detail.
Even better if you can give an example of the expected output.

I am not certain what you want to do.
See if the animatedline function will work.

No, no animated lines, just a static plot with zoomed in portions as indicated

The impression I got was that you wanted a plot with continuously-updating data.
You can zoom in on parts of the plot by reproducing it in different figure objects and then setting the xlim and ylim properties appropriately for each of them.
If this is stilol not sloving it, please go into some detail in describing what you want to do.
