Linux GUI destroyed after first install

I am unsure how to solve the problem, normal installation procedure. Fresh debian VM installation. Apt-gete update/upgrade done.

Not sure how that’d happen from the installer. If you are actually on a fresh install with absolutely nothing else installed after setting up Ubuntu and your installation media wasn’t compromised, then there could be something wrong with your storage device if you’re getting graphical errors like those. If not, perhaps another hardware issue.

it is installed on a virtual maschine, (on purpose), on the actual maschin its working completly fine with windows.
