Even if it was not phrased very nicely, I don't personally believe this merrits such a reaction (and the word choice in your comment), especially since this is 4 years old and Greg has proven to be helpfull enough for 2000+ users to mark that his answer solved the issue.

A harsh reply can be the best advice. If this is your question you should either take a course about this topic, or search in a library or on the internet. He could have written a 2 page essay, but what would that help? It would take a lot of time to write, a lot of time to read, and it would teach the same lesson.
