which version of matlab support the "database" function

it is ok when I run the database function in MATLAB 2013. But it doesn't work in MATLAB 6.5.

How can find that which version of MATLAB is the first support "database" function.

There is no database function in the base Matlab, it would seem to be in the Database toolbox which would be useful to add in the Products box. Surely such an obviously named function has always been part of the toolbox of the same name?
