How to give control command through MATAB to Code Composer Studio code

Hello Sir,
I have ccs code which boots from flash in c2000 TMS320F28379D launchpad. One of the control variable in that code has to be commanded from the MATLAB simulink through SCI .Is it possible ?

Please refer the following example which showcases the 2 model approach. Here you can command a control value from Host model to a Target model that runs inside the controller.
