Reconstruct signal using ISTFT after cutting off frequecies

Hello,

I am applying STFT to my time series to identify the frequency evolution over time. After this, I want to cutoff certain frequencies (let's say all the frequencies < 0.7Hz) and then reconstruct the timer series using ISTFT. I tried to do it but I obtain a shorter time series.

Any suggestions?

Set the amplitude values at those frequencies to 0 rather than eliminating them from the vector.
