solving a equation in MATLAB

I want to solve an equation with one variable changing in time and space. I have boundary and initial conditions. How can I write this in MATLAB?

The question is not clear but the Symbolic Toolbox allows you to do that in MATLAB and in MuPad.

type mupad in your command prompt and try it out OR just follow the link above.

Thanks for your respond. it is a second order partial differential equation which should be solved with non-linear variables
