launch two application synchrously from matlab

hello everyone!

I want to launch two programs simultaneously without any time gap between the two. for example i want run a powerpoint presentation slide show and launch another application where it will start recording real time data simultaneously. I want this program to run until the presentation slide show gets over.

Can anyone please help how to program this in matlab.

Any particular reason you want to do this in Matlab? This sounds like a job for a batch/bash file.

I want to record biphysiosignals like emg while the subject performs activity according to visual cues presented to him in a powerpoint file. so i want to write a program where i can play the powerpoint file and the data recording at the same time so that I can analyze data during different activity.
