How do I invoke Java program from Matlab?

Kindly provide the detailed steps to invoke a java program from Matlab.

1. To be precisely, I want to invoke http://algs4.cs.princeton.edu/55compression/Huffman.java.html from Matlab. 2. Can I pass Matlab variable as an argument to Java call? Kindly provide more details on this.

Note, I don’t have access to "Using Java Libraries from MATLAB" link.
