How to create a variable 3D Matrix?

I want to create a 3-D matrix whose all elements are uninitialized.They dont have any garbage values or zero. i use A=sym('A',[3,4]) to create 3x4 variable matrix. this syntax not working for a 3-D variable matrix. it shows error in matlab library files.
