How to get data from a position sensor

 Hello,

I would like to ask a question regarding Data acquisition toolbox. I have checked the list given by Mathworks in which the supported vendors are listed, and could not find my vendor, so Do i need to use legacy interface, where unsupported hardwares are used,or not ? I would liketo get comments from you, whether this interface is too time consuming and meets my demands ?

I have to get datas from position sensor called LVDT(Linear variable differential transformer)and put in simulink.
