Hi,
after calculating in MuPAD, I´ve got some huge numerical results with fractions and exponents in it. How can I symplify this result in order to get a decimalnumber with just a few digits?
Thanks, Chris

try this
double(LongExpression)
or
vpa(LongExpression)
where LongExpression is your expression.

Hi Chris,
if you have the result inside of MuPAD and there are no symbolic variables remaining in the result, then you can just apply the 'float' command to your result to get a decimal number.
If you want to change the number of digits displayed, you can set the variable 'DIGITS' (all capital letters, that's important) to a value that seems appropriate to you and re-execute the 'float' command.
Hope this helps and best regards, -- Kai
