      What is DSP System Toolbox?

      DSP System Toolbox provides algorithms, apps, and scopes for designing, simulating, and analyzing signal processing systems. You can model systems representing real-time applications like radar, audio, wireless communications, and more.

      The toolbox includes Simulink block libraries for filtering, transforms, and statistics. You can model systems with different discrete sample rates, frame-based simulations, and data flow-informed parallelism. Blocks support the generation of C and C++ code optimized for embedded processors.

      Here, FIR and IIR filters are dynamically designed in crossover configuration. Output spectra are visualized as the cutoff frequency is changed interactively. DSP System Toolbox provides design algorithms for multi-stage and multi-rate digital filters, as well as optimization-based single-rate filters.

      The Filter Analyzer app lets you explore tradeoffs for embedded implementations on DSPs, FPGAs, and ASICs. Here, Filter Analyzer is used to evaluate different FIR-based designs for the same low-pass specification, with a multi-stage implementation using the fewest multipliers.

      Scopes let you view and analyze digital signals from simulations or external hardware, similar to benchtop signal analyzers. Spectrum analyzer estimates and visualizes signal spectra using analyzer style filter banks and FFT-based methods. You can interactively change estimation parameters and enable different types of spectral measurements.
