2D position versus value plot with random position

For Matlab to produce a contour plot, the positions have to be layed out in a regular grid. Measurement systems differ and sometimes data available cannot easily be arranged in this format. This file takes randomly distributed data, interpolates it on a grid and plots using Matlab function. The data is also output as a matrix.
