Input of Simulink block used in vector

Hi all,
I'm using a constant input (actually a strcuture of constant values implemented via a BUS) in a simulink block and I want to use it to create a vector. For example let say my input is m, I want to create n = 1:m ; Apparently it is not possible. Any suggestions to go around this ? m is defined in my Matlab workspace.
Cheers Alex

Could you put in a Matlab function to do this? I am no expert...
