Metric on how much to movie image to overlay

I am trying to overlay two images. I can successfully do that using imregister. I want some metric values out of this process though; that is, I want to know that I had to move the second image by +X and -Y pixels to overlay. Is there an easy way to pull this information out I am just overlooking?

I found the function imregtfrom, which is the numerical output of the imregister function, not just the resulting overlayed image. If it helps anybody with this questions later.

Yep - that's the "related function" function I mentioned - just didn't have time to look up the name when I answered before.

I think so, but I don't remember what the exact way to get it it. I haven't used imregister or it's related function very much. Look for answers by Alex Taylor. I think he's the developer that wrote it.
