Radar and Wireless Coexistence

Dual function waveform, spectrum sharing, cooperative radar and communication, joint communication and sensing

This section contains applications of the toolbox to radar and wireless communications. Some application areas include:

  • Determine the optimal frequency region for radar waveform transmission in the presence of an Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communications waveform based on Fast Spectrum Sensing.

  • Create and analyze a Pseudo-Random Optimized Frequency Modulation (PRO-FM) pulsed waveform with notches (areas of reduced spectrum power) in regions occupied by communications waveforms.

  • Design a set of waveforms for a dual-function multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) radar-communication (RadCom) system. Simulate a RadCom system that can detect targets in range and azimuth, as well as transmit data to multiple downlink users.
