Description

Add-On Required: This feature requires the Simscape Acoustics add-on.

The Pressure Source block represents an ideal pressure source that maintains sinusoidal pressure across its output terminals, independent of the volume velocity flowing through the source.

The output pressure is defined by the equation

$$P=P_0+P_1\sin (2\pi Ft+\varphi )$$

where:

• P is pressure.

• P₀ is static pressure.

• P₁ is peak dynamic pressure.

• F is frequency.

• φ is phase shift.

• t is time.

The conserving acoustic ports + and - correspond to the positive and negative terminals of the block, respectively. The volume velocity is positive if it flows from positive to negative. The pressure across the block is equal to the difference between the pressure at the positive and the negative terminal, P(+) – P(-).

Phase shift — Phase shift

0 rad (default) | scalar

Phase shift, specified in radians.

Frequency — Pressure frequency

60 Hz (default) | positive scalar

Pressure frequency, specified in Hz.
