Short Transmission Line model in Matlab simulink software developed by Dr. J. A. Laghari
This short transmission line model using Labels is designed in Matlab/simulink software.
Commonly, different components and measurement blocks are connected directly through wires in MATLAB/SIMULINK model. This technique is suitable for small circuits consisting of two or three components. However, if circuit is large consisting of many components, then connecting all components and measurement blocks will make it extremely complex. Therefore, chances of error will be high and it will look ugly. In order to solve this problem, MATLAB/SIMULINK has another feature of using labels in the measurement blocks. When labels are used in the matlb/Simulink model, then measurement can be performed by calling those labels anywhere in the model without the need to connect all the circuits through wires.
For this purpose, an example from the Book Power System Analysis by Hadi Sadat, Chapter 5, Example 5.1 is considered.
This model can measure the voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power both at the sending end and receiving end stations is measured.
Furthermore, this model can also measure the percentage voltage regulation and efficiency of the transmission line.
