Reduce Number of Data Points (reduce_data_points)
Updated 28 Oct 2021
Reduces the number of data points in a data set to a specified number.
[x1_new,...,xn_new] = reduce_data_points(x1,...,xn,N)
[x1_new,...,xn_new] = reduce_data_points(x1,...,xn,N) reduces the number of data points to
N, where the data points are stored in the vectors
x1,...,xn, which together form a data set.
- In some cases, the function will not be able to return exactly
Ndata points due to rounding issues.
nrefers to the dimension of a data point. For example, if a data point is an ordered triple , then
n = 3.
