How to link matlab code to s-function in simulink?

hello,
I have a matlab code and i want to implement that code in simulink using S-Function. Even though i created S-function file and added to the block, i am not sure that S-function block is reading the code. the output is same as input. can anyone help me?

You may want to set breakpoints in your MATLAB code and debug it.

Any particular reason to implement matlab code in simulink using S-Functions? You could use the matlab function block for this. Refer this
