How to put a shape on top of an image?

Hello.
I want to join two images: a shape (created by mapshow) and an image (created by imasgesc). Is it possible to overlap one another? I need the shape's contours to remain in the image created by imagesc.
I put an example of the shape and the image.
Does anyone know how I can do this?
