Mex compiler compatibility on Mac OS Catalina

I keep getting the following error: Error using mex
No supported compiler was found. For options, visit https://www.mathworks.com/support/compilers.
I have installed the latest XCode (and moved it to 'Applications') as well as mingw64 for Mac. It's still not finding the compiler. I am using MATLAB R2020a.
Any help will truly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is a known problem and has been resolved in the subsequent updates released.
I recommend you to update MATLAB R2020a with latest update available.
A Workaround for this is mentioned in the following link: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/2208336
