Starting from MATLAB_R2019b, the "Evaluate Current Section" keyboard shortcut triggers even if the editor is not highlighted (e.g. when you work in Command Window). Previously, it only triggered when you used the shortcut while working in the editor. How can I revert to the previous behaviour in MATLAB_R2019b?

Check your Preferences (the icon is on the Environment section of the Home tab of the Toolstrip.) In the MATLAB section, select Keyboard and then Shortcuts underneath it. Search by the action name "Evaluate".
In my installation of release R2019b the "Evaluate Selection" action has two shortcuts: F9 works in all tools (and that is the same as release R2019a) and Enter works in the Command History. Enter does have some possible conflicts but in the Command window it should "Break Line". Comparing the results I see no difference between releases R2019a and R2019b for this action.
What do you see as shortcuts for Evaluate Selection and what possible conflicts does the Preferences list?

Can you check / show what happens when you press Command + Enter with the cursor in the "Search by action name or shortcut" box in the Preferences? The "Evaluate Current Section" action should be listed. When you click on that, what tools does MATLAB say should recognize that shortcut?

Under "Tools with shortcuts" it only lists "MATLAB Editor" for "Evalute Current Section" shortcut.
