I have a code that has several .mat files that were saved as cfit. When I run them on one computer, the code works fine. However, when I run them on a different computer, I get the error "Warning: Variable 'bending_model' originally saved as a cfit cannot be instantiated as an object and will be read in as a uint32."
Both computers run Matlab2019a; additionally, the code and .mat files are both in a google drive folder that both computers are accessing to run the code.
Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The installation on the machine where you receive that warning message does not have Curve Fitting Toolbox installed (or perhaps has it installed but is unable to check out a license.) Because of that, MATLAB cannot call the cfit function to turn the raw data it read from the MAT-file into a cfit object.
The installation on the other machine does have it installed and is able to check out a license.
