Some kinds of flowers can only be recognized by specialists. For example, each of these green dots are complete individual flowering plants; I think the white parts are the flowers.

Another thought: perhaps you can use the area fraction instead of the count. Why do you think you need the count anyway? What are you going to do with that number, assuming you can get it?

Are only the white parts to be considered flowers? What about the green "beans" that are probably going to open into white parts?

As I am not a botonist, I have to wonder whether technically the white parts are not flowers themselves, and whether instead the green hairy fronds are stamens and so perhaps you need to count the patches of green hairy fronds instead.

white parts are flowers. green color is leaves in the plant. No need of green color. only work for the white color flowers in the plant.

It is not possible to write code that can count all flowers in an image without counting anything that is not a flower.

For example, there is notable disagreement about whether this is a flower or not.
