Ubuntu 18.04: Matlab fails to load documentation and examples for Pluto SDR Hardware Support Package

I went through a fresh install of Matlab 2018b on Ubuntu 18.04, followed by an install of "Communications Toolbox Support Package for Analog Devices ADALM-Pluto Radio". I am unable to load the documentation, nor can I load the examples.

Running commands such as "plutoradioexamples" and "plutoradiodoc" brings up a "Help" window that says "Warning - File or URL Not Found MATLAB cannot link to this file or URL: /path/to/folder/MATLAB/SupportPackages/R2018b/help/supportpkg/plutoradio/index.html" or "Warning - File or URL Not Found MATLAB cannot link to this file or URL: /path/to/folder/MATLAB/SupportPackages/R2018b/help/supportpkg/plutoradio/examples.html".

Those .html files do exist in the filesystem.

Why can I not load the examples or the documentation?

Note: I was able to successfully run one example, plutoradioWLANTransmitReceiveExample, but I still cannot load the documentation or examples in Matlab help.
