I have a set of thermal images showing objects that are different from the background of the image. I need to find the coordinates (x,y) of the center of mass of the most inner circle of each object.
The output of the program should be: 1. The coordinates (x,y) of the center of each object. 2. Marking the center of each object on the original image.
As you can see, in the example picture, there is sometimes an object connected to another object (in this case the output should have 2 coordinates).
Can anyone help me?

If you have the gray scale image you need to use that, not the pseudocolored image, which is useless.
If there is one hump you can use regionprops and ask for 'WeightedCentroid'.
If there are two humps, you can use detectMSERFeatures() if you have the Computer Vision System Toolbox. Or else set a threshold some amount down from the max and threshold and use bwareafilt() and see if you have two blobs that are big enough.
