Hi, I have an image and i would like to gray out just a part of the image.

I have read na image and used ginput for the user to select 2 points.
Once the user selects 2 points, i would like to gray out the area in the rectangle selected by the user. I am unable to do it without cropping the image. I would like to display the same image with just that particular box in gray. Please help.
