Hi,
I have a pre-R2014b fig file that does not display all elements in R2016b. It worked correctly in pre-2014b releases. When trying to edit it with GUIDE I get the following message "This FIG file contains one or more legend, colorbar, or uitabgroup objects, which GUIDE does not support. GUIDE removes these unsupported objects when loading the figure. If you save the GUI, the FIG file no longer contains the unsupported objects." I have run the graphicsUpdater on both the .fig and .m files, but it has not found any issues.
As the unsupported object are being removed on fig load I am not even able to see what they are.
What are my options to correct this? If necessary I can edit this fig in a pre-R2014b version of Matlab to forward protect the code against the R2014b Matlab graphics system update In such case, what should I change in the fig objects to be able to load the GUI in a post-R2014b Matlab?
Thanks,
Adam

This is the reason why I don't use GUIDE, but put all my objects in code. That would probably be the easiest way for you as well: I believe there is an option to convert the fig to code. Some properties it tries to set will not exist in older version, or might be replaced in HG2.

Those prevantative actions are not applicable in my case. I am working with some legacy figs which I wish to port to HG2 and I am looking for solutions on how to accomplish that. I am currently using fig2m, but get many errors. Is there a better/faster/ easier/more automatic way?
